I am certain I read somewhere that even if City lose this one they can appeal it to the Swiss courts, as the CAS comes under Swiss jurisdiction. Reckon City will be the Champ Lg next year, probably still with an appeal pending in Gallifrey or somewhere

"The worst case scenario for City would be that CAS agree with UEFA that there were 'serious breaches' of FFP regulations and that City's ban and fine stands.
City could still go to the Swiss federal courts to appeal the CAS ruling, but any such appeal would be unlikely to be heard before the 2020/21 Champions League season begins and would likely be as difficult to win as it would be time-consuming."

Of course they will be.

Edit: City still be in CL

UEFA don't holdover suspensions during the appeal process, so if they were to lose next week and take it further they'd still be banned next season

How would that work though if City lose, appeal and then win?. Do they sue UEFA for lost revenue for their time out of a competition?

I'm not sure, I just know that's what happened with Chelsea's transfer ban. The ban was in place during the appeals process which was conveniently reduced to the 1 window they'd already served.

Surely if there's an appeal then the suspension would be suspended for one year, so to speak, while the case is heard.

I still think 7 points from the last 4 will be enough to get us sixth, which I'd still be delighted with. A win this sunday would be great though otherwise a lot of pressure on the Burnley and Palace games to get maximum points

Voted 7th, still think 7th (just)

Wolves are now roughly evens on Betfair to finish in the top 6, having obviously drifted over the past week. Really want the North London derby to be a draw. I'm beginning to think/hope that Chelsea will have 3rd sewn up by the time they play us and it'll be a dead game for them

Yes, this time last week I think we were around 2/7 on Bet365 and I was being offered slightly better than 9/4 to cash out my 7/2 bet. Wish I'd bloody taken it now!

And in the Cup Final the following week

So with City’s ban overturned, realistically we need to finish 6th to guarantee European football next year.

I just can’t shake this nagging feeling that Sheff Utd will pip us to 6th in the end. It’s such a massive shame we couldn’t grab a win against either Arsenal or Sheff Utd themselves, as I reckon that would have been job done. Now we are only one slip up away from falling behind Sheff Utd or even Spurs - and Burnley and Chelsea aren’t exactly easy games.

It’s going to be an extremely tight end to the season. I can see us needing to get a result at Chelsea to guarantee 6th - and with Chelsea likely to need a win themselves, that’s not going to be easy.

If we do miss out on the Europa League next season, we’ll only have ourselves to blame for drawing too many matches. Think I’ll edit my prediction or 6th to 7th. Hopefully I’m wrong!

I don't know Jinky, the way Leicester are at the moment, i wouldn't back against both Wolves and Sheff Utd finishing above them, especially as Leicester have both Man U and Sheff U to play.

Leicester have some tough fixtures left to be fair, including Sheff Utd and Spurs! It’s going to be stupidly close whatever happens.

Leicester have injuries too. Pereira, Chilwell, Maddison, Albrighton, plus Soyuncu suspended as well. That's three of their first choice back four.

7th will get Europa. Arsenal aren't going to win the Cup. City absolutely own them.

Even though we lost to Sheffield Utd. , it was a last minute winner and we matched them for the most part . Compare that to Chelsea who conceded 3 at the same venue . The Arsenal game apart we are doing fine . Those few changes on Sunday to the starting 11 made all the difference by keeping it fresh , shaking things up .

Burnley will be tough , but we know that in advance , they won't surprise us at all . I'd be quietly confident we'll get a win there .

3 games left , who would have thought that Utd would concede so late last night . Plenty of twists and turns left .
