It's getting boring now.
i Think you are wrong to dismiss hostory so easiliy. In our entire history how many times have we done the double over west ham , bearing in mind fixtures go back to 1920? The answer is 0. We have lost 29 drawn 14 and won 19 of the meetings.

So , boring as it may be we need to re-write hstory to beat west ham this week. We are capable I agree, but I would not be surprised if they didnt take something from the game. Thats all. No mumbo jumbo nothing else. Just fact. https://www.11v11.com/teams/wolverhampton-wanderers/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/West Ham United/

It’s not must win and it’s not should win either. Arnautovic and Anderson are as good as if not better than anything we have and we’re missing out best defender still. We could quite easily lose this.

Draw isn’t a bad result. What happened 100 years ago has no bearing on this result. What happened earlier in the season probably has a less than 1% effect on the game as well

This. I'm fearful of Arnautovic returning and having a big impact.

It's ok Cyber. The last midweek home game I couldn't watch was Chelsea, so we will definitely win.

Of the sides immediately challenging us for 7th West Ham are the ones I respect most. I'd take a draw, but it really could go either way.

EDIT: Actually second most, I forgot about Watford.

I fully expect us to get something from Watford and even Everton away. West ham are a bit wounded animal at the moment which makes them dangerous.

And Everton aren't after losing to lower league opposition with a goal that should never have stood?

Last time we won at the hammers we lost at home. the year before we beat them at home and lost away. So this is no easy three points given the abiuse they are getting after this weekend. No superstition just cold hard reality.

I agree, we should win. But we should win at home against a number of sides and havent.
We beat West Ham a few days after they beat Wimbledon in a Cup game earlier this season.

This time we are playing them a few days after they lost to Wimbledon in a Cup game.

Must be a nailed on defeat for us...

Yes, but they are the home team when we play. Our style is better suited to that fast break counter. What we have not been good at is breaking down well drilled organised teams with a plan or trying to out Cardiff ,Cardiff. See Watford Huddersfield Palace at home. Watford and Everton and Huddersfield are far less likely to play that way on their home pitch as technically its playing for a point and teams just don't do that at home against teams like wolves. A big six team may see you set up that way. It may be why our record is good against big six teams as the counter game is our strength and they don't set up to stop us doing that.
No I think we will get something from those games even though they beat us at home ,or in the case of Everton drew.

In a back handed way you are helping me there. West ham had all ready beaten the same team in another competition but came unstuck second time in the same season.

History making and rewriting history are not the same.

Might be fun and games trying to get down to this one!

Confident we can get a result - not sure if Arnautovic will be playing or not since he's suddenly decided to stay..? They look toothless without him
