West Ham (h) 03/01/2026 - Build up and Match Thread

Mane must play. He's a teenager shouldn't be tired. Anyone with a pulse to start over Hwang. Can we find 2 goals for a win? or is this a double first, a win and a clean sheet?

Mané being a teenager is the exact reason why he shouldn't be playing every week. His body is still growing, he WILL get an injury if we push him too hard.

Perfectly acceptable to manage his minutes, just do it in a way that you make sure he and the fans understand why you're doing it.

I am (moronically) coming to this. Someone has asked last minute if I can get a ticket with me and my mate. Has anyone got a supporter number I can use?

Edit: Don’t worry, sorted!

Looking forward to this. Missed the last 3 games due to being on holiday with no internet. Can`t wait to see how much we have progressed/improved while I`ve been away.

My default setting for match days has been set at "cba" for sometime now... I hate it and it's miserable.

However... maybe it's the new year? But I'm strangely looking forward to this??

For some reason the CLT Wolves are going to a bar/pub for this.

If I take a shot every time Max marks empty space, do you think I’ll be dead by full time?
Match JSL shot for shot and you’ll have a cheap morning.

Looking at our fixtures, personally this feels like our last chance to get a win. I can't see us managing to beat anyone else if we can't get a win here. It's so big for West Ham too, probably going to be a very nervous game. I think West Ham may nick it if their tactics are right but need to get points for once or we are going to be the worst team for sure.

Maybe against someone like City as well. Hopefully after the end of the month we'll have a bit more competition for him and we won't be so reliant on an 18 year old kid.

Agree - can’t believe we’ve built him up so much and are suddenly reliant on him.

He’s literally been ok in a couple of games - massively accentuated by the fact he’s playing with such a load of lazy, shit.

Is he any good? Who knows.

I think we’ve all seen plenty of this over the years - Luke Cundle immediately springs to mind.

After Spurs away, a couple of years ago, he was the next Steven Gerrard.

Can he control the ball? ✅ Better than Hwang
Can he stand up in a 10mph breeze? ✅ Better than Lopez
Does he look like he gives a toss? ✅ Better than JSL

He might not be the next Robbie Keane but he’s better than the alternatives.

Scarles Vs Tchatchoua, the worst full back Vs full back battle in PL history?
