I think we'd have been better switching to this for any/all of the Fulham, Burnley or Forest games!

You can make it work, it's what Hasenhüttl played at Southampton when they were pretty good under him. You could argue that there's bugger all point us crossing to no-one anyway, and obviously our right hand side produces nothing in that respect from Semedo.

Very much a 4-3-3 on paper. I don’t mind the look it it, but it is odd that he’s picked today to try it away from home, when we’ve had other fixtures where we didn’t need the extra defender.

We’ll almost certainly see RAN come on at some point with a switch back to the 5 atb formation we’re familiar with. Especially if we’re leading with 15-20 left.

I saw a 4-2-3-1 initially, but with both Ait-Nouri & Bueno available wouldve also gone for the 5. Don't mind a manager not afraid to try a few options though, just harder to revert to 5 at the back if we go down a goal.

Didn't feel like they made the most of that opportunity there, think Cunha played the return to Sarabia too early so he was easy to close down leading to his rushed pass to Hwang.
