I wasn’t being serious on the first bit you do take things rather literally though?

Unfortunately I think the issues go beyond Lage.

We can't just have two senior CBs, it's nuts. If YM or Toti aren't considered that then why are they the only options we have in the squad?

I've only seen Toti play for us once, maybe twice? in the Premier league but he seemed OK to me, certainly not a bombscare. I like Collins, a lot, loads of potential but at this moment in time is Toti that much of a downgrade?

I don't think anyone really knows, he's only played in a 3. The point is if he isn't or at least the manager thinks he isn't then it's a massive fuck up either by the recruitment, manager or most likely both. I still think he'll play, but I'm probably in denial

Toti was a bit clumsy but fast and strong. Definitely got his feet in a tangle a few times and had a few air shot moments in his short spell.

Now some of that can be put down to nerves and inexperience. But If that’s his actual level and the manager doesn’t trust him to play then he needs to have been sold or following the Dion Sanderson route rather than staying around the squad, and then make it essential we get someone else in.

I think if we played him in a 4 today there would definitely be a mistake in him and would be an area I was exploiting as an opposition manager. But I’d definitely think that I could exploit Neves or Jonny more when neither are CBs, neither as quick or strong and neither as good in the air in an already small team against a big/physical team.
