I’m sorry employing a back 4 consisting of Semedo, Saiss, Coady, RAN is asking for trouble simply the wrong players to try this out with.

Blame the recruitment then, one is our main summer signing and our big Doc upgrade, one is our only fit LB and the others are two of our three first choice CBs.

Are you suggesting we buy three or more defenders in the summer?

Well firstly, most Wolves fans would have said he isn’t good enough - and secondly, it’s not a Fosun/Wolves/Nuno/Mendes signing.

Four at the back is just about viable with Boly but pairing Coady and Saiss is suicidal. If we are going to transition to 4 neither or them are even close to good enough. Playing it for the sake of it is plain stupid.

Despite the poor level of performance thus far, West Gam will need to adjust to Antonio going off.

I’ve said it a million times. We play a 5 and play deep, compact, minimal pressing, commit few forward. Then we change to a 4 and play high, not compact, throw everyone forward, press badly.

Makes literally zero sense. We literally play them both polar opposite. That is the problem.

It's shit isn't it and it doesn't make any sense. You can play any formation if you have the right approach and mentality and you can cover players weaknesses too but we seem incapable of doing that. Nuno can't find the right balance in either formation at the moment as you say and for me that's worrying but i think our mentality is poor too, we seem weak when we are defending.
