Coady is regularly reluctant to make a tackle, but as i say i don't recall Saiss doing it, he is often quite rash.

Absolutely awful there though, as was Donk who should surely foul him and take a booking like everyone does whenever Adama gets going.

It's not about the back four.

They gave the ball away cheaply, Podence didn't even really make a challenge for it, RAN got sucked it like an idiot and Neves not much better. Anyone one of those three makes any half decent attempt at a tackle and West Ham don't break that easily, a more savvy team makes a foul up there and walks away from it with a ticking off.

Coady and Saiss get themselves square all the time and just take themselves out the game. You’ve got to push him where you want him to go. If he goes the other way then you are massive favourite for the ball. He’s literally Jsut let him run inside without even having to do anything. And his body shape is so bad he’s not even able to apply any pressure to Lingard when he’s gone past him.

This is literally basics.

Playing four at the back is hardly revolutionary. We just need these players to work on it more and in the summer replace defenders that can't cut it.
