West Brom (A, FAC) 28/1: Build-Up & Match Thread

All depends how much prep he misses for the game and whether GON thinks he can catch up in 2 or 3 days training.
Game prep normally properly starts 2 days before a game.
We played Monday so yesterday was a day off for the players (or very light work at Compton). Work for Sunday will start tomorrow or even Friday. If he rocks back up at Compton on Friday, he is good to go really.

I'm sure GON mentioned on that tactics breakdown on Sky that they start some details of the prep 2 weeks before.

Can't apply in this situation though can it, we only went through a week ago. Plus you'd be preparing for the Brighton game* first, they don't play anything like West Brom.

While it's not as simple as rock up and win as we've got better players, ultimately it's they who should be worrying about us, not the other way round.

Ait-Nouri's role doesn't change much game by game anyway.

*Or throw it, like some galaxy brain 4D chess

Any news from todays press conference on team news for Sunday?

Could mean Bellegarde and Doc start?
I hope not. Bellegarde clearly has potential, but he’s been quite disappointing so far and he needs to do a hell of a lot of work on the defensive side of his game.

Don’t need to comment on Doc.

Just seen that the game they beat us at Molineux in the Cup was the same date as Sunday, so a 3-0 away win it is
"We're just too good for you.." - would be great to have the shoe on the other foot!

The fixture is being ramped up a lot today in the media TalkSPORT and BBC all done features on the game.
