Welcome to Wolves - Joao Gomes

Echo what Deutsch has said that this is succession planning with his guaranteed place in the side arriving when others have gone. Not seen him play but from the reports and youtube videos, would it work with him in the central role with Neves and Nunes either side?
Yes. That would be insane.

From what I've read he sounds like a Neves but with more of an engine to get up and down the pitch (and less prone to a worldy goal).

I want the club to use the "diogo Costa / Joao Gomes? He ay come here has he?" clip for every single player we sign, no matter how bad the dub looks
Yeah that was the lol moment for me in the video. He must be super proud of that one whoever he is.

If professional football doesn't work out for him, he could make a living doing adverts for teeth. Hell of a set of gnashers on him!

Damn near whiter than the sponsor decal holy shit

I’m gonna look stupid here ( what’s new) but in the video, who’s the rapper with the gold chain sitting in the chair? Just after the “e ay come here has he?”

Didn't you notice Cunha's? The Brazilian lads must all make a stopover in Istanbul when they come to Europe.

There's quite a few with shiny knashers. Adama and Neves have both become very pearly white since joining.

“It’s the club, the way it’s sold to him; it’s the manager, it’s how he talks to them when he speaks to them and it’s the project and the Premier League.

“He’s been key in driving it, it was a player he wanted to bring in, and when he speaks to them, he’s phenomenal. The way he talks, with passion, passion he’s already got for the football club. This is a guy who has worked as some of the biggest clubs in the world, but the way he talks about our club, it makes you want to sign on the same call.”

Imagine the previous garbling idiot inspiring that kind of reaction in anyone.

I wanna know this too

I think it’s bloody good too that Lop hadn’t heard of him, was told about him from our scouting team, went away and had a look for himself and gave it the green light.

You get some managers who just want ‘there players’, so great to see the club working how a club should

Also previously they found players and if Scott liked them we purchased them, regardless of the managers thoughts (see Hwang).
So the whole process we had formed in the final stages of Nuno's time and after he left has been ripped up. We probably would have carried on if Beale had arrived.
Essentially delighted that Jeff recognised what he would get with Lopetegui and granted him the power he needs. Doesn't make up for the previous bollocks but its a start.

I've done some googling, and I think it might be Dr Michael Hardacre, the city's deputy mayor. If so, I'm not sure why they went for him rather than the mayor herself. (He's councillor for Park ward, but I think the stadium is in St Peter's.)

Just love the intro vid to bitz, this guy is gonna be huge at wolves, his character and cheeky charm is just booming off the screen

Abit anti climatic to be fair.

The amount you lot were talking about him the other day, I assumed it was the phantom barber Merv ….

I didn’t know who the rapper with the bling was, and have now found out that when they cut to Brazil with the cable car ( before the white cliffs) the music is from the Brazilian musician Joao Gomes

Worth remembering he hasn't played since late October. I'd be very surprised if he started any of the games in February, he'll need time.
