I read that one of the main providers is down which is causing problems for everyone.

like, on NBC's side? outages happen but if you're running a gigantic nationwide (worldwide?) streaming service you don't just have a single connection from a single provider. did some intern build their infrastructure?

Still not acceptable from a software engineer's perspective to ever allow there to be the possibility that the application might fail without giving the end user any context whatsoever.

yeah the peacock help account on twitter is currently asking people to DM their account info, devices, contact, etc. like it's an 'us' problem. really poor all around. you know 1) that's not gonna help, 2) you're not gonna be able to get to ALL of these responses, 3) it's on YOUR end
