Anything to suggest he'll get us creating anything like the goalscoring chances we now need to create in order to get some wins from somewhere?

My issue is that whilst Vitor made some mad decisions and clearly lost the plot including falling out with players towards the end, I don't know actually see how anyone could get a tune out of the dog shit squad we have, particularly given the lack of pace and creativity.

I only really remember his last season at Benfica when their fans were just furious about everything he did. Lage came in halfway through the season, made them more attacking, improved everything and won the league even though Vitória had left them in a mess.

It seems like their fans have mellowed towards him in hindsight as he did win 2 League titles there, a Taça da Liga, a Taça de Portugal and got them into the quarter final of the Champions League before it all started to fall apart.

It looks like he hasn't done a whole lot since then tbh.

I think there were big personal issues in the dressing room, I don't think that can be ignored
