Vitor sacked

The forum's got a bit busier today... Has something good happened?

As far as I can see, most of the criticism of Rodgers is that you don't like him.
Has anyone got any reasonable criticism of his technical ability?
I thought Pereira was a decent guy, so lets have an unpleasant one for a while.
Someone stick a poll up...?

Looking at the list of candidates on any betting website, any of the first 100 options seem better than O'Neil. They can't, can they?

Well he was deeply complicit in relegating a Leicester squad that contained Jonny Evans, Harvey Barnes, Youri Tielemans, Jamie Vardy, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, Keirnan Dewsbury-Hall, Wilfred Ndidi and Thomas Castagne which is quite the achievement, and he also signed and played Wout Faes.

He was a good manager but quite a long time ago now, he isn't a good manager in late 2025.

Failed at Liverpool despite having amongst others Sturridge, Suarez, Gerrard and Coutinho. He was despised long before he left Leicester and has been underwhelming at Celtic in his second spell. In his first Celtic spell he had little competition as Rangers were sacked off to the bottom league. Apart from that I’m all aboard!

Time to update my rankings of past managers now he's gone:

Nuno Espirito Santo
Mick McCarthy
Graham Turner
Kenny Jackett
Julen Lopetegui
Colin Lee
Dave Jones
Graham Taylor
Vitor Pereira
Mark McGhee
Glenn Hoddle
Paul Lambert
Stale Solbakken
Gary O'Neil
Walter Zenga
Bruno Lage
Dean Saunders

Again with Handsome Rob - who is more likely to be in the Premier League next season, Wolves or Middlesbrough.

Same question rules out Lampard and perhaps Robins too.

How could you seriously be looking at a man who proved himself to not being up to the task 12 months ago.? Has his stock risen since or are we still paying him so might as well make use of his ineptitude?

It's the kind of thing you see tinpot Serie A clubs do quite often.

Can't think of an English parallel so it would be groundbreaking at least.

On a serious note I can only think it's a dead cat strategy because they are finally getting a bit of long overdue flak.
