That's the way I would think it can only work. Not much width from Doherty (at LB) or Iorfa I would imagine. The formation and selection is bizarre.

That's what is so odd. I don't get the change of formation or personnel. If we wanted to play on the break we'd have put more pace in and if we wanted to play possession you'd put width in. At the moment I don't get it, but at least it'll be a interesting watch!

I would say two defensive midfielders and two central midfielders. A definite 4-4-2.
