Victhegreek

That's really sad to hear. Condolences to his family

Ah man. Few meet ups in the London with him and as Dan said, nice fella

RIP Vic

I remember I got him a ticket for the Boro game at the start of 2017/18. There was some kind of deal where STHs could buy up to four extra seats for £10 each or something. Anyway I sorted it out for him and he sent me £20, telling me to put the extra tenner towards a few beers before the game.

Nice touch that. Think he was originally from Wednesfield.

RIP Vic, nice chap who shared a few beers with us in the London.

That's very sad news - met him a couple of times in the RL.

Only a couple of years older than I am as well so we had a connection from past Wolves exploits.

don't believe I met Vic, though do recall darlo pointing him out as he walked past the pub once.
RIP Vic.

Very sad news. RIP Vic

Sad news to report - Vic who occasionally posted on here has passed away.

I met him a few times, a nice fella.
This is Carol, Vic's wife. I'd like to say how moved I was reading the posts. Vic's passion was Wolves and the last few months when he really couldn't do anything else he looked forward to our son Anthony coming over from Wolverhampton to watch the games with him. Even without the Covid situation he wouldn't have made any games this season. He was very poorly. Thank you all for caring.

All the best Carol. As I say, if there's anything we can do, please just ask. He was well respected here, both personally and on the forum.

Hi, this is Anthony, Vic's eldest son.

I've just seen this thread as it was posted on facebook.

Lovely to read such kind comments.

Sadly it was very very difficult for him to even speak in his final few days, but the day before he passed I put on the Wolves highlights video from the promotion season, the one by Wolves Babble with the classical music.. I'm sure you know it.

Anyway, he turned his head to watch it and when it came to the Jota goal against Bolton (where Ruddy caught the ball and immediately put Jota in with a drop kick downfield) he suddenly announced "I was at that game".

Those were the last words he ever said to me, so that goal will always have a special place in my heart.

Carol, Anthony, once again I would like to send you my condolences. Vic was a wonderful bloke and we will miss seeing him when we get back to going to games. I'm sure you have the thoughts and regards from everyone who met him from here
