Great ball by TAA though to be fair, Nunez didn't need to do anything

Shame as after a rough first ten minutes we did quite well to make it a crap game with not a lot happening.

The goal is ridiculous. Stupid clearance by Collins but what a pass. I actually think all that happened with Lembikisa there is he didn’t expect the pass to be as pinpoint as it was because he hasn’t played at this level before

Oddly happy with that. Slow start but 442 looks okay to an extent. Some good attacking movement and intent with the ball and forward runs. Hodge looks busy at least effort wise. Lem didn't track the run but got forward well and has a big test with Robertson being his side.

Collins and Toti look like a mistake waiting to happen but feel Toti has grown into the game at least.

You are unlucky to concede from there, but the ball from TAA and the finish from Nunez are both sublime. Ultimately it comes down to Collins' shank and Lembikisa has to be tighter. Much more on the former than the latter though

Now, handwringing aside, that was extraordinarily encouraging. 1-1 at HT is something I absolutely would have taken at the start.

Much less annoyed with the concession of a goal than I am with the manner that Collins led us to concede it.

Thought both the centre backs have been good. Sarkic has just invited pressure on them a couple of times

A pity we undid a decent first half with a really sloppy pass and a great finish. We were on top for a good spell. Lembikisa is doing alright I reckon. Guedes has also done ok for a charlatan with no footballing ability whatsoever.

The 442 has really worked giving us the space out wide. And with a 3 of Thiago, Henderson and Fabinho Liverpool don’t really have the personnel to make the extra man tell in there.

Think we’d be causing more problems with someone other than Raul up top. Looks like hasn’t played in years.

Well this is actual fun to watch, well up till the 44th minute anyway.
After the first 15 minutes thought we were fine started controlling the game. Couple of good breaks. Their goal came out of nothing, Collins had been very good up till then.
Thought Raul looked OK, full of running.
Jonny actually starting to look like a few seasons ago. Hodge probably his best game so far.

Genuinely don’t care about the result. But I do want to see evidence of us looking a more coherent team across the pitch and there’s been plenty of that.

Agreed, this game is a free pass really. We’ve looked pretty good.

Going on about it being a great finish from Nunez, yet the replays clearly show it going off his shin!

This is the thing with him, isn't it? 99% of each match he looks perfectly fine, good even. But the 1% almost always results in a goal at this level and he's doing it every single match.

We`re giving them a game. They are going to come at us big time second half. We need to hold our nerve. Raul looks done to me.
