Ukraine

I mean there's no reason we couldn't just do it and to fuck with his plan. If he's not going to be helping anyway then why do we need to involve him?
At the end of the day, Europe like the US want to to a deal to exploit Ukrainian rare earth materials. Both Europe and the US are saying the deal will be beneficial to Ukraine, but they both mean it will also be very beneficial themselves, too.
The only difference is, the US is a superpower, who Russia and China take note of, we are not.
Ukraine is the Iraq of Europe. This is a game of chess and the pawn is Ukraine and the many thousands of lives that their brave people have lost.

No, people do not want their rare earth minerals - which is what I assume you meant. They want their Graphite, Lithium, Titanium and Uranium - none of which are in that category.

This is from the link below. It says Ukraine has 21 of the critical materials that the EU needs. Can you show me a link saying that those 21 critical materials, don't involve rare earth materials?

The European Commissioner for industrial strategy, Stephane Sejourne, said he had suggested a different potential deal to Ukrainian officials during a visit to Kyiv with EU chief Ursula von der Leyen.

"Twenty-one of the 30 critical materials Europe needs can be provided by Ukraine in a win-win partnership," Sejourne said after the meeting, which came on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.

"The added value Europe offers is that we will never demand a deal that's not mutually beneficial," he added.

Rare earth minerals are a very specific class of material:

Rare is not the same as critical.

As you know the point is, the EU, like the
US want to take advantage of Ukraines resources. It is hypocritical to have a go at the US for doing this, but then not mind when the EU is playing the same game.
I am critical of Ukraine being exploited and used full stop. I am also critical of false promises being given to them that they could join Nato, which is one of the reason thousands of people are being killed.

Key difference seems to be Ukraine have agreed to 'our' deal

Political leverage. Europe offering an olive branch puts all of the responsibility on Trump should he reject it as expected.

Zelensky apologise?????, he was well and truly ambushed.
Trump was entirely out of order allowing the oval office to be used for such an appalling display of willy waving, and more so for allowing that little weasel vance to even be there.
Vance, The man who knows all about the war in Ukraine, cause he's seen it on the news.
I knew about the b'ham pub bombings from watching the news, but it looked nothing like i saw it, from actually being in the Tavern.
Only good thing about it, was that president musk wasn't there

Allowing? I would have said it was an ambush even before it was revealed that Russian state media (TASS) was on hand for the whole disgraceful sham.

Not a chance that it wasn’t planned, IMV.

What stance has the American mainstream media took, are the public buying into them?
