If we get to the euros and Trent isn't first choice I'd be fuming but these are not that important in the grand scheme of things and Liverpool would be fuming if he played both and got a knock, so there's that to consider as well.

Coady is the best English "sweeper" in the Premier League. If that is how England are going to play then he should start. Maguire and Gomez on either side

Southgate was a failure as manager and got lucky with an easy run to a semi in the WC. We are stuck with him unfortunately.
