UEFA Nations League & Euro 2020 Qualification

Thought it was stonewall tbh!

Front three have looked pretty good, and with Alli behind them that’s a lot of quality.

Looking at it again at halftime and then you can see a sandwich. Silly defending.

Not sure what's going on in the Portugal midfield. Early on it looked pretty much flat 442 with Moutinho wide left, sometimes breaking into a bit of a diamond with Carvalho pushing on and Neves deep. As the half came to a close looked more towards the diamond approach but with Silva at the point and Moutinho/Carvalho right/left respectively.

Andre Silva looks a nothing player whenever I've seen him.

England look comfortable, but the game's a bit dull. Might watch star trek instead.

I've enjoyed the game. Controlled and dominant.

It's a bit slow and meh, but no doubting about the better side. I would like to see some more incisive stuff as the Czechs are a bag of nails

Neves subbed after 60 mins. Good.

Superb finish from Sterling. Bit of luck that the ball got to him but wow lovely lovely finish.

Ronaldo has been nothing short of a pathetic selfish cunt all night.

Ironic that from the shallowest talent pool we've ever had, we've got arguably our best side in 50 years

Sterling's such a good player, amazing how much he has improved at city

Sterling hat trick. Sancho clearly talented but a bit raw. Not sure he’s ready to be playing regularly for England just yet.

Cancelo has been utter mince in this second half.

Zinchenko has looked pretty decent playing CM though.

Very routine for England tonight without being in top gear.

That's harsh. There are some excellent young kids beginning to come through.
You misunderstood me. I meant shallowest in terms of the number of English qualified players playing in the PL, not the quality of the players in the team.

AH - I understand. It looks like the Bundesliga is going to be England's friend then. Plus the Chelsea kids are all heading back and will get time with a two year transfer ban. All is not lost.

Some of these younger players need pitch time as we do have a group coming through (though probably not all will eventually get there)

They need time at a high level to really mature

Comedy own goal for the fifth England goal - should have easily put it anywhere but there
