Trump

I guess finding oil elsewhere becomes more attractive. Somewhere like Venezuela perhaps! Or maybe Russia…

Or recognising that building economies around an increasingly rare resource thats controlled by awful regimes and has a side effect of killing the planet is a bad idea.

Wasn't the enrichment "completely obliterated" a few months ago? Seems odd that it needs obliterating again so soon.

And the strait was already open until Trump and Netanyahu went on the rampage?

So basically all that's been achieved is that a few people have been killed. People who will be immediately replaced, and they'll be angry and emboldened, knowing that they've got proof of concept in how to fight back and cause absolute chaos for the whole world.

Is that worth the lives of the 175 school girls who were murdered on day one?

Obliteration 2: Nuclear Boogaloo.

Sending his son in law as part of the 3 man talks delegation. I think Alan said something similar but the biggest issue with this Trump administration is that unlike the last it's lacking in career politicians and just filled with under/zero qualified sycophants.

BREAKING: Trump to discuss leaving NATO with Secretary-General Mark Rutte within hours, confirms Karoline Leavitt.

It's not good. NATO without America is fairly pointless. Trump will be gone in 3 years

It loses MAD element without America which has been a good protective shield for over 70 years.
Britain and France having 600 nukes offers some degree of deterrence but not at the same level.

Not up to Trump.

The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024, enacted on 22 December 2023, prohibits the President from unilaterally withdrawing from NATO without approval of a two-thirds Senate majority or an act of Congress.

Yeah, like rules and laws mean anything to him

Ironically the one thing that I can think of that Trump is right on is getting other NATO members to pay their share.

They already do. It's worked out on % of the Country's GDP and the US aren't even in the top 5 on %

edit - fuck Trump

And so it begins. Israel still bombing the absolute fuck out of Lebanon. Which the Pakistani leaders who brokered the deal said quite categorically was not allowed. So I think we can take it that Trump agreed, Netanyahu told him to get fucked, and so now Trump has got everyone saying Lebanon wasn't part of the agreement to try and not look like the weak fool he is.

And on top of that, the orange twat seems to be completely re-inventing the agreement as the original version made him look a complete failure, and is saying Iran must obey that before US troops leave the area. Oh, I am so shocked. This is no ceasefire. It's a climbdown being desperately disguised by a bully who didn't expect someone would actually stand up to him. He now says a fully open Strait is part of the deal. And Iran say it isn't. So no doubt back to bombing each other very soon, and the israelis have got a fortnight of free bombing in at Tyre and Nabatea as a bonus.

It needs Sharif to publicly come out and say exactly what the terms he brokered were. Deviations from that are ceasefire breaches. As simple as that.
