Trump

Maybe someone in Ireland will catch the Rusangano Family reference 🙂

Trump later slammed the reported use of human shields around physical infrastructure.

"Totally illegal," Trump told NBC News. "They’re not allowed to do that."

Bit on the nose.

Trump has called the Iranian use of human shields around infrastructure sites "completely illegal". Something in common with his entire war then

It’s barely even true; no one has been forced AFAIK and it was the fucking Minister of Sport who said people “should” hang out by the infrastructure. The IRGC aren’t putting them up at gunpoint.

If only someone had told Trump you can’t change things by aerial bombing alone, especially when the country you’re bombing can stop ships moving through the most critical waterway in the world.

Carpet bombing wasn't exactly a roaring success in Vietnam. Trump would know that if he had turned up rather than crying off like a coward.

Obviously any cessation of war is a good thing but I'm sceptical USA/Israel and Iran will be able to come to any meaningful agreements.
The other states in that area will no doubt be delighted that Iran will probably come out of this war stronger than ever.

If you look at it Iran has played this extremely well, they aren’t stupid in fact far from it.
Are they a despot regime 100% yes but the population aren’t.
It’s used its geographical location and economic hold on the world to its fullest extent all this whilst using cheaper effective technology to cause problems for Israel and the US at the same time. America wanted them to play it by their rule book but they’ve stool 2 fingers up to that.
From a worldwide view it should see oil prices drop and the economy begin to settle so most people will be happy with that.
Iranians will go back to suffering and the region now remains even more unstable now.
Trump and Maga come out of this looking beaten and embarrassed.

Not exactly Sun Tzu by Trump.

Iran have obviously read it, especially "if your opponent is temperamental, aggravate him"

China will have it in schools so they all know "when your opponent is making a mistake, do not interrupt"

It will be interesting to see how Republicans react to this. Surely the majority will see that Trump has made the biggest mistake by a President in living memory and that however he tries to dress it up it’s as clear as day he’s only sprinkling a tiny amount of glitter on a turd the size of Greenland. Any normal person would learn from this but it wouldn’t surprise me if Cuba becomes a distraction sooner than later.

I think you give way too much credit to the intellect of the average MAGA supporter in Hicksville Arizona. They'll be told he's removed Iran's nuclear capability and forced them to open the Strait and that'll be enough. Those who are brighter will fall in behind whichever culture or real war he stirs up next.

Very clear that Israel don't consider the ceasefire applies to them in Lebanon.
Just about to come on and say that this is all well and good but Israel will just carry on being the genocidal rogue state it has always been. Nothing will change until Israel is under different leadership. The real regime change that will bring peace to the Middle East is regime change in Israel. Permanent and lasting regime change with Netanyahu and all of his cronies being tried and imprisoned for crimes against humanity. That might help stabilise the Middle East.

I'm not too sure how this will eventually play out?

But I take little comfort in an emboldened Iran...
