Most Americans are pretty oblivious of the rest of the world so probably don’t really care, they are also pretty insulated from the rising prices. Eventually they might realise but it will be too late.

You are looking at $4 a gallon for gas? We are looking at nearly $12 for diesel.

Al, for some context there - my last full tank cost me £85, and will do me about 450-500 miles. I suspect that's not far off double what it would cost to travel a similar distance

Ive said it before, the USA has become the world's second most dangerous rogue state behind only Israel and on a level with Russia. Any sensible government now should be looking at any way possible of extracting itself from relying on the USA for anything, including trade.

Of course, here in the UK we fucked that up by voting to turn away from our most stable and reliable economic and trade partners when we voted for Brexit, so now we are more reliant on trade with the USA than ever before at a time when they are a fucking basket case. We shot ourselves in both feet.

Depends on the state, but to Tredders' point, I don't think even California is pushing $12/gal on diesel, so yeah, that's pretty horrific.
