Found out tonight that at the start of the year he introduced a Make America Beautiful Again tax of $100 per person in addition to usual admission fees at the Top 11 parks - Yosemite, Grand Canyon etc. Puts my plans for a trip to the Everglades in question, although a pass for 4 is available at a bargain $250. Up to 100% of the revenue raised will go on the maintenance of the areas, something tells me the up to is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Twat
Some seriously good deals out there at the moment from companies needing to fill spaces created by those who’ve dumped their holidays by the bucketload. Loads of people deciding not to go to the states but plenty just not feeling comfortable travelling anywhere long distance by air for obvious reasons too.
The nearby med beach holidays are going the roof but conversely some crazy deals are on offer further afield and in places that don’t necessarily involve travelling via the high risk areas too. Bit like Covid times, everything is all over the place but at the moment paying top dollar to go to the states seems like the worst of all worlds unfortunately.
