Trump

Its very embarrasing for Trump and USA. They're gunna be coming home with their tails between their legs having been seen off off Iran.
Its not beyond the bounds that he actually does set up a 'peace' group with the USA, Russia and Iran. He is actually insane I think.

Yes of course but what does Trump have to do to be removed?

When does it get "too much"?
He'd need to be impeached. The Republican Party has been taken over by him so even it got through the HOR, asuming all Dems and Independents voted against him, you'd need 19 Republican Senators to do so, I can't see that happening.

Can that change once (if) the midterms are held?

His attacks on Starmer for not being able to make a decision, er no you muppet, what Starmer is doing is consulting his experts on military matters not just going out gung ho.
This isn't the gunfight at the ok corral.
Obviously we know Trump doesn't like experts on anything, just yes men.

35 Senate seats are up for grabs, so depends who is defending them and where they are. So if a sizeable number were to turn blue from red then the number of Republicans required to turn would reduce. Most seats never change irrespective of the President or state of the Party though.

22 Republican seats, most of which are safe as houses. You can see dems getting 52-53 at a stretch but nowhere near the 67 needed to actually remove him

Starmer is also a barrister. His instincts will be to ensure legal compliance.

It’s a disaster for the world, but a strategic result for Labour. Their best, and seemingly only, strategy is to tie Reform to Trump and chuck them over the side. That doesn’t work if the Republicans were a sane operation that sorted their sht out 2.5 years out from both elections. They’ve got to trust it’s an unbackable mess in 2028, not now. Already looks like a good approach - the UK right is trying to unpick the fact they were keen to go to war last week in the face of public opinion. And if they’re not they’re looking absurd.

joe kents resignation, and the reasons given for resigning could potentially be significant. he's always been maga/a strong trump supporter, so significant for him to turn.

Once it starts hitting Americans in the pocket things could change. MAGA Republicans will stand by Trump whatever he does, but there are plenty of others that will turn on him if it is in their interests. Trump continually flip flopping with justifications for the war, how he’s going to deal with the issue of the Straits of Hormuz and a lack of exit strategy in general, combined with growing evidence he’s been played as a puppet by Israel leave him more vulnerable than was imaginable a month ago.

So basically his death is the only way to get rid of him.

What a great system. :(
I’ve had my twitter account locked down for saying I’d like the whole trump family to go the same way as Ceaucescau did, or like the family of Tsar Nicholas 2nd, hate speech and harassment apparently, but Ai videos of trump shoving people through doors marked gas chambers is fine

If the Dems take a majority, that will give some of the Republicans remaining a reason to jump the aisle (not least because Dems taking control means a bunch of incumbents lost).

Every Republican in Congress is deserving of the same punishment as Trump, Miller, and the rest of the Reichskabinett. They are supposed to be the backstop against this shit happening by needing to confirm the President’s appointments, holding the Power of the Purse, etc etc.

Instead, they can’t even bring themselves to tell their Islamaphobic peers to shut the fuck up with their racism.

1) it is, via gas prices.
2) actually, even some of his core feel totally betrayed by this; I know how odd that sounds but one of the core pillars of Trumpism that actually sticks as a policy with his support is isolationism (and the Epstein fiasco has cut into that base of support in a real way, too).
