Definitely each to their own on this. For me, once the creative tension of being barely able to stand being in the same room as your main song writing partner had gone, neither Lennon nor McCartney wrote anything even close to as good.
I would always prefer listening to something like "I want you [she's so heavy}" or even "Maxwell's silver hammer" rather than Imagine or Band on the Run.
By the way, Black Sabbath would have been proud of that last riff on she's so heavy. It is epic.
