Proposals to require ESTA visitors to the US to submit 5 years social media history could make things very interesting.
A couple of years ago was refused entry to the US on an ESTA and had no choice but to apply for a 10 year B-2. Was a bit of a nightmare taking quite a lot of time and a not insignificant amount of money, requiring a police clearance certificate from ACRO and to hand in all the typical photographs and documents including the passport, but was required to hand in all social media accounts too. Eventually called for an interview at the American Embassy itself in Nine Elms which was ‘interesting’, I’ll just say I was pleased there were no skeletons in the cupboard.

The plan would affect people from countries, including the UK, which can fill out a form in lieu of a visa.
