Trump

An election commissioner (and registered republican) in philly has just been on sky news, said he was disappointed in trumps comments last night, and that they try to put the message across to fight the political propaganda, but clearly their reach is nowhere that of trump's twitter. They're tax dollar paid and commited to counting every vote. Trump's lawyers have already been to see him, and he expects further contact.

It really is bloody scandalous.

And I've just seen trump's latest tweet, basically saying that the leads he had that have now disappeared is rigging. What a cunt.

What else did you expect?

He is going to need the Republican Party to want to die on that particular hill and I’m not sure that is going to happen.

Trying to inspire riots ay he

I saw some comments on Twitter that Arizona is still in play with Trump gaining rapidly. No idea if that is true or just Twitter fake news.

Trump claiming that he'll win it by 30000 votes.

Hmmm - 27% of the mail ballots in Florida that a court ordered to be delivered were not because the head of USPS is a Trump stooge. THAT is electoral fraud and rather explains why Florida is such an outlier from the polls.

Please tell me they're going to be counted now?

That's mental that it can happen in a "democratic" country

This country hasn't been a democracy since they decided that corporations are people.

Election night in the UK is much more interesting than in the US where there are basically only 50 presidential districts. So I fell asleep before midnight and woke up today to find nothing has changed.

Having read several pages of comments on here, I have 2 observations:

1) There is definite bias among the mainstream media. Maybe not conscious bias, but it's still real.

2) Please stop saying that everyone who voted for trump is a racist. It's blatantly untrue, and over here it has become counter-productive.

3) Ok, 3 observations. Fear has proved a better motivator than empathy. A pundit said that. A lot of typical non voters and independents were persuaded that Biden would either die or be pushed out so that "socialist" Kamala could take over.

4. and final point. The main reason I supported Biden was that he would win back the rust belt states that HRC screwed up 4 years ago. So come on Joe, get those WI, MI, PA votes.

Biden's lead in Michigan seems to be increasing too. Upto 33k now

I don't think people are saying this (its certainly now what I meant), but if you vote for trump you need to accept you *are* voting for a guy who promotes and supports racism and white nationalism.

Of course he's racist, BUT not everyone sees that. They see culture, heritage, respect for the police, etc.

The problem with people voting for Trump isn't that they're racist or bigoted themselves, it's that by supporting him they are implicitly approving of racism and bigotry from the highest position in the country.

There are certain qualities in a person that should go beyond politics, that should be hard dealbreakers for any human being. That people continue to vote for Trump says that bigotry is not a dealbreaker for positions of power in this country, and that is why it is both difficult to understand why people continue to do it and difficult to want to understand why people would do it.

If bigotry doesn't stop you from supporting a person, then you are complicit in allowing that bigotry to persist.
