Tottenham Hotspur (A) 29.12.2018

Not out of this at all.
Probably was a foul but Kane had lots to do after that and did it. Boly perhaps could have closed another half yard.

Patricio can't kick for toffee, but we knew that. Got his hand to the goal too.

Traore has been good this half

Dendoncker predictably looks rusty, doesn't help that he got knobbled by a clumsy Sissoko, can someone explain how that was a free kick to Spurs?

Maybe Mark has the answer...

Tw@well

It's not enough of a foul since he didn't rob him of possession or stop him from keeping the ball. It's a nudge off the ball. Not enough for me.
You need to watch it again. Winks anticipates Cav will control it and slams into him, the fact the ball has already gone makes it worse.

To be fair, you'd be asking a lot to get a foul there. Once a player has blatantly lost possession by his own inability then an accidental clash after is rarely given.

Me neither, crap first touch and tried to make the most of Winks blocking him off. Boly's defending was a bit halfhearted as well.

Best thing about it is even Jimenez wouldn't pronounce it like that.
No one would. Mexican Z's aren't the same as Spanish ones (Santi "Cathorla", for instance).

Such a bizarre argument.

Basically you are saying any foul is allowed if the player doesn't have the ball.

Maybe Coady should just drop the nut on Kane? As long as Kane doesn't have the ball, by your interpretation it's fine.

That's not what I'm saying.

The goal happens because of Wolves' mistakes, the foul is irrelevant in that sense, if the foul was given and play pulled back then Wolves get out of jail. To my mind that would've been very fortunate for Wolves as on balance, their mistakes mean that conceding the goal was probably a fair outcome.

To simply say the goal doesn't happen if the foul is given would be papering over the cracks and not recognising the true issue.

Talksport say spurs are cruising at half time.

That sounds a little harsh but not overly so. We aren't creating any great danger for them, so with a lead they can be cruising a bit. But while it is still only one there is an opportunity to get into the game. We aren't being battered.

Traore has brought both his dribbling boots and his thinking head. It's not often he brings them both together.

Attwell won't be able to resist the limelight. Eriksson or Davies should worry if Traore runs them. One more and they could see red.

I wouldn't say they are cruising but you're right that we need to create something more threatening. Like them we've been limited to half chances, difference is they have players much more capable of converting.

Maybe read my post at the time instead of trying to be funny.

And here I agreed with you a page ago. It doesn't stop the later defending being extremely lax, or indeed the shot being tremendous. However, it is still a foul.

Stays this way & it's a loss - Nuno needs to gamble a bit now

We Have players who can hurt them & need to give them issues to solve rather than standing off a bit to limit the damage - a 1 - 0 defeat or a 3 - 0 is still nil points

It brings me absolutely no joy to say this, but I just don't see what Ruben adds to the team right now.

Why didn't Raúl release Adama there??

don't think he saw how clear he was. there were like 4 spurs bodies between them
