Thought for April 28 v Sheff Wed

Make sure you let Mick have first dibs, also unless things have changed - they may well have done, but the meal option is an all or nothing thing with regards to the buffet/sit down.

Just thinking out loud but wouldn't the International Restaurant/Presidents Lounge/WV1 Restaurant be the better option?

For £4.50 extra you are not stuck behind glass, get a 3 course meal and drink on arrival included, half and full time refreshments and a padded seat so the incontinent ones amongst us won't leave a puddle on the floor?

...and echo what Jabba said about the enquiries. It was a good job you put the figures on here Peter else if I'd have done it I would have got them all wrong :icon_wink: !

I'm surprised they've put it as a Cat B game.

If it helps, the Steve Bull side is more relaxed and less informal.

They rank them slightly differently for the corporate packages, it appears. "Gold Plus", "Gold" and "Silver" as follows:

Silver | Brentford (2nd January), QPR (10th February), Norwich (21st February) , Reading (3rd March), Hull (2nd April).

Gold | Nottm Forest (20th January), Sheff Utd (3rd February), Burton (17th March), Derby (10th April), Sheff Wed (28th April).

Gold+ | Birmingham (15th April).

Wouldn't have a problem with the Int Restaurant (the others are a fair bit more than £4.50 extra & probably more than I would want to do) & numbers are more open ended than with the box.

Yes Mick will have first choice as it was his suggestion (& I have 2nd if I am booking it :) ) - if we look at one of the Restaurants then less pressure on numbers though they didn't confirm how many free spaces in total they had, but got the impression that there was adequate space at the moment (probably we don't want to hang around too long making our minds up)

I assume you'd also get the sun in your eyes, even in a box in the SB.

If anyone wants to commit then you will be responsible for checking the dress code via the OS - they do have rules.

If you turn up inappropriately attired then its your own fault

Nah, you're ok at that time of year. It's Nov-Feb you have a problem as it sets behind there.

Leeds was £620 and Villa £800 so guess they were gold and gold plus?

well done Peter. count me in and pm me your bank details whenever you want. i'll go with whatever box you decide, but not interested in sit down meal.

3 have indicated a willingness to cough up money (Mick, Jabba & myself) so far

Mick has indicated that a full meal would not be wanted (& I also wouldn't as my usual routine when driving up is a full English breakfast at Gloucester Services mid morning - not your usual motorway services as it's built like the Tellytubby house and has none of the standard Costa/Starbucks/Burger King offerings - then eat again after the match) so a Steve Bull box seems to be the best option.

This seats 8 & needs all seats sold as none of us (I would suspect) are willing to subsidise & the above prices assume a sell out of the option chosen.

Before I start giving my details for funds transfer there needs to be a few more to add to the current number & needs to be done sooner rather than later.

(Given info on another thread getting seats otherwise is becoming more & more difficult & we are not promoted yet which I fully expect to be by that match)

Looks good to me.

Since my post on the 13th have only had one other via PM

If this is to happen then all 8 spaces in a Steve Bull box need to be sold as would suspect that none of us are prepared for any increase on the cost quoted which assumes a sell out

No point me releasing my Bank details for money to be transferred or booking till I have had sufficient confirmations of real intent (certainly I am not carrying that level of risk)

The longer we wait the greater the chance that there will be no availability so though this is some months away then sooner rather than later (would just remind you that this match can still be moved for TV or whatever so you book/pay at your own risk, though if having done so if you cannot attend then selling on to another Forum member is fine as the Club don't need names - though I would)

Another 4 days have passed by & no other posts on here or PM's received

Not enough interest for me to issue payment details or book (not taking that level of financial risk) so a Steve Bull box looks unlikely

If a smaller number still want to do something then a booking in one of the restaurants (International/Presidents/WV1) would be possible as they will book from 2 places upwards.

such a shame, as initially quite a number expressed an interest.

Sorry forgot to keep an eye on the thread. I'm gonna struggle for childcare for this one, the ex is working that night now, I'd have to be back home for six

This clearly is not going to happen, but researching it gives me some thoughts for my 70th birthday celebrations in 2 years time (which will occur during the playing season)
