There goes Julen!

I absolutely agree with the wider point others are making.

Lop is well within his rights to be pissed off, but I want him to shut up and get on with it now. Good manager, but can’t help but feel he’s just out for himself.

Out for himself, wanting to bring in players to improve team so there's not as much of a relegation scrap as last season.

Most selfish bastard in the whole league.
Say that within the club then? Moaning to the press unsettles everyone, and makes the aim you state more difficult to achieve as it effects the players already at the club and makes us less attractive to potential players.

I mean, that’s some leap from what I was getting at - fair play.

Every manager in the PL wants to sign more players to improve their squad. I haven’t seen any other PL managers running off to the press to cry about it as consistently as Lop.

He just needs to shut up and get on with it now.

Maybe he has and fuck all has happened. This is probably his last throw of the dice.

Is it consistently? The Daily Mail/Sky stuff is meant to just be a rehash of the interview in Portugal, which was the first thing he was quoted on since the season close stuff. It's not as much as being made out as.

Lopetegui was coveted and targeted by Fosun for years, the most high profile coach we've had, only for them to put him in this situation now. It's ridiculous.

I'd also much rather he be "unspoken" about the issues than we suddenly find out in September he's leaving the club out of the blue.

Moyes has, Eddie Howe this morning, Klopp will do it once a transfer window, Ten Haag did it last season.

Conte, Mourinho, Mancini, Ancelotti, Marco Silva have all done it. Even Poch when he was at Spurs.

Players didn't look affected in Tuesday and haven't this preseason.

I'm sure (in my limited experience) it makes no difference to morale, quite the opposite.

Players do get pissed off when managers are undermined if they like the manager but that mainly seems to be at the board.

I for one am shocked that Julen Lopetegui of Asteasu, Spain is only in Wolverhampton for a salary and not for his long-held love of the beautiful city and his boyhood club Wolves.

Didn't Alex crook say Bournemouth had practically signed Alex scott too
