I don't think his dad was ever the issue. The issue seems to have been assurances over funding and recruitment in my opinion.

JL may well have been lied to. I'm not even sure I can blame Jeff for being a sneaky liar. If he did lie, his lies almost definitely kept us in the PL. Needs must I guess.

Both fairly inexperienced coaches, I think O'Neil deserves a chance to see if he can learn from his mistakes this season with a few signings and a pre season, hopefully that doesn't end up with us in the bottom 3 at Xmas.
