There goes Julen!

Fabio lives (lived) in the house at the end of the road with we’re garden centre on at the codsall end. Apparently always used to put the wrong bin out and not understand where cardboard went.

Raul lives on the road right by keepers lane off the Wergs road that backs onto the care home.

Rui used to live on that new build estate just up the road opposite the cemetery. Think I heard Sa had it off him but might just be a GK assumption.

Neves lives on wrottesley road with the red drive and goalposts in the back garden.

Adama alledgedly lives in the houses by Wodehouse island on the left as you if you were heading up towards the Springhill.
Dunno how this specific information benefits anyone?

Wolverhampton is normally viewed from 2 places by outsiders. On the train to and from Wolverhampton, and if the m6 is blocked and people get diverted. As others have said the NW of the city has some lovely places to live as does the SW (Penn and outskirts). Wolves players and their families have no problems living in any place like Tettenhall and wood, Penn, Finchfield, and Compton.
As urban areas go this city is in a great place being right on the South Staffs and Shropshire border.
I've lived in Wolves all my life. in the 60's, 70's and 80's i lived in Aldersley, and the club had houses in Green Lane the some of the players stayed at.

That's what TT said initially.

This is what we should be doing.
He said “Neves and Nunes won't work together in a 433”. I said “No reason why they can’t play together” (in a 433). You then said “In a midfield 3 one of them has to play in a completely different role to what thry are best at”. I disagreed with that statement

Ok. Well Nunes has been playing as an 8 for the past month and been absolutely dogshit so that kind of proves my statement true.

My worry and I'm happy for those who are better coaches than me to tell me I'm wrong is Neves and Nunes won't work together in a 433. Hence my 4231 preference. It is true that Lopetegui does play 433, but if he's the manager we hope he is hopefully he'll prioritise players over system at least until the Summer when Neves leaves
JL played 4-2-3-1 with Sevilla at times (and at Madrid, unsuccessfully), and I can see him doing it with us.

More of a bloody 10 than an 8! Practically played upfront against Palace.

If that’s him playing as an 8 and he’s been that shit then that’s a massive concern for either his ability, mentality or both.

Nunes absolutely hasn't been playing as an 8 in the last month. He's been playing as a back to goal 10.

It's when he has been playing as a box to box traditional 8 he's looked far better. The same with Boubacar Traore last week.

If Lopetegui goes with 2 x 8's and 2 x inside forwards with fullbacks as the width we could do well.

Would mean the end of Adama and probably Hwang.

You're right he hasn't been playing as an 8.

He’s not played as an 8 at all. His starting position has been too far forward and he’s been the one breaking in to the box. At Brentford he spent the majority of his time on the pitch as a 2 with Costa or as the 9. He played in his position at Chelsea and was our best player by a distance, we then put him back in the inside right position and unsurprisingly he looks like a fish out of water.

Because he's being asked to break ahead of the strikers. His starting position hasn't been as a proper attacking midfielder.

I disagree. Although he's been asked to do too much by Davis we haven't been playing 4231 have we? He's playing as a proper central midfielder who is asked to break forward into the box, that's my impression of a classic number 8 type role.

We have been playing some bizarre form of 4-2-3-1 / 4-4-2 hybrid.

An 8 is a forward facing box-to-box midfielder/ ball carrier. Usually from a deep lying or central position.

Can you honestly say Nunes had been playing that position?

You are watching a different game to me if you're seeing that.

Horseshoe Of Doom formation anyone?

.......................... Sa

Jonny.... Collins.... Kilman... Bueno

....................... Neves

........... Nunes............. Bouba

Traore.................................... Guedes

...................... Hwang

More that we have different impressions of the role he's being asked. He's not playing the role you describe but he's not being played as a number 10.

It's a weird way to play someone who has spent their career in a double pivot midfield either way.

I think in a 433 you want

Neves
Someone. Nunes

I guess at the moment someone is Boubacar. Not sure that’s necessarily a role that would suit him perfectly but he’s mobile enough and his forward passing can be decent at times.

I think Nunes is comfortable on the left “half-space” for want of a better term. Which is why it baffles me that he not only is being played too high but to the wrong side
