I’m so frustrated with this. I play my PS4 more than my Xbox so I think I may sell the Xbox and treat myself to a PS5.
I can then play Ghosts of Tsushima and the new Assassins Creed without worrying if I can ever switch the bloody console on!

I've owned Civ 5 for about 9 years. I've finally started it. I haven't got a fucking clue what I'm doing and within 10 turns, Gandhi and some Chinese emperor hate me. While my army basically has rocks to attack anyone.

Any tips as the in-game tutorial is fucking shite?

Seriously??! Who the fuck would consider spending that much for a digital only console? It's not like many games have really tested the hardware of this current genre of consoles so I'm not even sure why a pro version has been announced but fucking hell. £699

It’s not that surprising really as I’m pretty sure they be been selling the ps5 at not much of a profit at all. The chips and parts all cost a lot so it probably is about as cheap as they can make it, even without a disk drive. im not an expert but im sure you’re looking at £2000 or so for a good gaming pc these days.

I’m not sure who’s buying this though, ps5 is fine as it is

The developers have announced on IGN that they are beginning work on Alien: Isolation 2 apparently. So I don't know if it's a new studio?

I couldn't play Alien Isolation. Way too scary for a coward like me. Tried the first half hour then nope-d the fuck out of playing it.

With the sequel, I would love it if they did more of an action game and made it more like the film sequel. So basically to nail the Aliens feel the way that Isolation nailed the one from Alien. Still yet to play a game which has managed to do that.

You should persist, it is absolutely brilliant. And yeah, there are moments where you just have to put the controller down and walk away for a while because it is genuinely tense. A few times I had to stop because my hands hurt from gripping the controller so tightly!

The flight or fight response doesn't work, because you can't actually fight the Alien and win, so you are constantly playing in the flight response which I'm certain causes an adrenaline overdose! It is brilliant and awful and terrifying in equal measure.

Due to the marvellous thing that is Game Pass, I'm really enjoying Black Ops 6. I think it's the first Call of Duty game I've played in over a decade (those halcyon days of the original Modern Warfare, World at War and the first Black Ops title - so many late nights!) and it's got me hooked all over again.

Although I am physically unable to play until the early hours like I used to.

Still got it, mind you. Class is permanent, etc.

I have now been playing Breath Of The Wild for nearly a month.
I am still on the Great Plateau and have not completed the four shrines yet. This is because I like to see and explore everything before moving on.
My mate reckons my estimated completion date for this game to be about 2030 .
