The Video Games Thread II - The Resurrection

It says you can play it solo. I have D&D geeks on hand anyway. Squeeze’s kids both play after I got them into that game and Pathfinder.

Best comment on the Facebook page about it: "I used to play board games but then I took an arrow to the knee". 😂😂

You need more then just yourself to play that board game, you'll have to advertise for a few Dungeons and Dragons geeks to join you I bet.
As a 40k guy, I prefer "nerd".

I have played D&D since 1981. I also played Traveller and Runequest. A bit of Paranoia and loads of Call of Cthulhu. I do Ancients, Renaissance and Napoleonic wargaming.

I am the archetypal geek.

Oh - and Car Wars, which was a great game.

TT games are so great. I wish I still had the patience to really make my Eldar look good. I had a Chaos Space Marine army when I was younger that I was really proud of painting up to a decent standard.

Ended up selling on eBay, fool that I was.

If anybody is interested Humble Bundle as the entire PC collection of Leisure Suit Larry games for £7.50.

Esports boxing club delayed till 2022 & EA have apparently green lighted a new Fight Night game.

Also has anyone played the GTA San Andreas remaster yet?

Anyone else played Enlisted? A bit like a free to play WW2 era Battlefield. Main difference is that you control one member of a squad, the remaining squad members are AI (can be humans if you have enough friends), but when the squad member you control is killed you can jump to controlling other members of the squad. You only respawn when all your squad are dead. Quite decent fun for a free to play FPS.

I don't remember if it's free, but Hell Let Loose reminds me of what you've described (sorta).

Much more of a sim than most shooters (think WW2 Arma, but good and not funded by the US government). Worth a shot if you have some folks you can trust not to be dicks because if you aren't coordinating, you're gonna have a bad time.

Enlisted and Hell let Loose are often banded together, though from what I understand Enlisted is not quite as authentic a sim as Hell Let Loose. I would definitely go with HLL but I only have an Xbox One X, and it is currently only on Series X or PC.

Just treated myself to an X Box Series X - mainly because I want to play Microsoft Flight Simulator in my comfy chair! Its downloading now. Mrs HW says I am a child!!

I picked up Civ 6 on Ps5 for £6.49 the other day, it translates quite well onto console and brings back hours of time playing civ 3 when I was a kid!

Also played through In the Rays of Light recently, its OK. Not my fav walking sim tbh.

Last I looked, I think I had logged 10,000 hours in Civ V on Steam.

I had a lot of free time in college.

It's been worth the £6.49 tbh, not that I'm any good at it anymore!
