Me with the ribs. Still no better two weeks later, tried to run about and play touch rugby last night but no chance!

Glad you're okay though mate, sounds like a nasty one that could've been much worse!

Any news on the Badger?

Ah good, he found somewhere to have a nap after a stressful evening

RIP Badger, Bodger will be devestated.

Badger fled the scene. Bastard.

Two weeks?!?! Fuck :(

Any of you ever found a reasonable way of measuring your sit bones at home?

Bit of thick cardboard, put it on a dining chair, sit on it,measure the distance between the dents, might work, might not

I tried that at work the other day but don't think the bit of card I had was thick enough to really work. Have to see if I can find something more suitable around the house and give it another go.

Another option I've seen is putting tin foil on the stairs and the give in the carpet beneath it should allow you to create some tell tale creases in the foil.

You could cover you arse in ink and sit on some paper.

I didn't read the posts beforehand, I just want you to cover your ass in ink coz I'm kinky that way.

Cover a cushioned stool or chair in tin foil, flatten and smooth it as much as possible, then sit on it firmly. Lift your feet off the floor for maximum depression on the foiled cushion. You should leave two circular impressions in the foil where your arse bones are. Measure from centre to centre.

Don't think we've got any seats with a suitable cushion for that unfortunately, might have to try wrapping the kneel pad thing the other half uses in the garden and see how that pans out.

Why would you want to know?

To try and find a better fitting saddle.

Speak to a professional fitter as well though: I used to have a Prologo saddle which was selected using the sit bones method, then on my last fitting I was told that it was far too narrow and I swapped for a wider Specialized model.

Also, set up the Defy as a permanent turbo trainer yesterday. Was a bit nippy so decided to put on a base layer. Result: 30 minutes of leg-breaking, sweaty misery.
