I'd never seen it that way, always saw Mee as being physical but fairly honest about it, old fashioned throw himself into anything centre half. Tarkowski seems to be much more snide, shitty things off the ball, elbows, proper nasty bastard tactics.

I don't have really have anything against an up front physical approach to the game opposed to proper malice.
