Allegedly there's a clause in his contract thst if he isn't registered by then he can terminate.
So will still end up at one of the big boys. Well I guess that's fair enough, though I can't pretend to understand why players want to go through these shenanigans.

Guess that's part and parcel of me still being relatively young in the sport. No appreciation for how monolithic Barcelona is in the footballing zeitgeist.

That was just for Kessie and Christensen, which is why they were registered before him.

Their bench last night included Pique, Fati, Depay, Pjanic, Aubameyang, Alba, Kessié, Roberto and Raphinha. The wages of those alone must be astronomical.

Watford still being dodgy as fuck.

Signed Hassane Kamara for £4m from Nice in January. Udinese have now "bought" him for £16m and loaned him straight back for the season. Nothing iffy there, no sir.

Didn't see much of him last season, but from what I did he's not worth 16 cents.

Watford's squad last season was bizarre. I like to think I have a decent knowledge of football across Europe but I'd genuinely never heard of half their players. A completely random collection and then they chucked another load on top in January.

The thing is that's obviously quite brazen. The EFL should say "I know you're allowed to own more than one club so long as they aren't in the same competition, but you're not getting away with that, it's clearly bollocks" and not allow them to enter it for FFP calculations. He can't have quadrupled his value in six months at a team who were relegated out of sight, and Serie A teams are basically hardly spending any money on fees at the moment, so a mid-table team would not fork out £16m on a 28 year old left back and then send him out on loan in reality, would they.

Ta for that, always wondered what daft punk looked like

Dele Alli to Besiktas.

That bloke will have severe regrets later in life when he realise what he's squandered.

Still, at least he'll be able to get some decent teeth for the 'gram

Can we please stop drawing a line between social media presence and not caring about football

Can we please stop drawing a line between social media presence and not caring about football ffs

I dont and havent when it's leveled at somebody like MGW or Kortney Hause expressing themselves on social media but it absolutely is the case for Dele Alli, all of the gifts in the world and squandered it for what?

Injuries, tactical changes, the whole getting beaten and robbed thing.

When things don’t work out for someone it isn’t right to read it as a character flaw, IMO.

I don't think he was ever exceptional, had a few good goal scoring years from making a lot of late runs in to the box but can't remember ever really offering much in terms of approach play. Sometimes people hit a rich vein of form and it sustains itself for a while when everything is going your way, hit a rough patch and it can be very hard to get back to it.

This. Like a high end Matt Doherty.
