The Transfer Thread 2019/20 - everything not Wolves

That can surely only be for shirt sales.

I thought I saw they were hoping to get Buffon as well.

They were linked to Buffon yeah though Porto are thought to be favourites

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a fee in the region of £50m

Bonkers fee. That has just inflated the market for English players once again.

I think Man U are attracting a premium to the players they are chasing - they are no longer the biggest draw and an increasingly desperate attempt to impose their purchasing power is meaning they are paying well over the odds

The thing is, if he doesn't become Luke Shaw II and be a fat liability (seems unlikely), that's RB sorted for 10 years minimum.

Rio was a lot of money at the time. Worth it though.

The problem with it is that while it's an area they urgently need to upgrade on (Ashley Young FFS), he doesn't do anything going forwards and they have massive issues with creativity. So a load of the budget gone and they don't get any goals from it.

Bristol City reject a £12m bid from Villa for Adam Webster

Have said they want 30m... decent player but they certainly won’t be getting that!

Looks like Chelsea are signing Kovacic (they're allowed to despite the ban as the deal was agreed last year in principle). £50m for a midfielder who never scores or creates, bargain.

Arsenal bidding for Zaha. Leaving aside their obvious desperate need for another inconsistent winger I'm not sure Palace are going to accept £5m plus a packet of extra strong mints.

Strong talk that Auba will go for a mega deal in China. Get their money that way. He's 30 now and although Arsenal never reveal the length of deals (weirdos) it's commonly believed he has two years left.

But then why are you putting all that effort in for that kind of player and then chucking him after 18 months when he's been really good? They're almost as weird as United. Almost.

That's mental. Sort out the defence and they already have an amazing attacking threat - Auba plus Lacazette is brilliant.

I'd be happy for us to pay a daft fee for Aubameyang.

Yeah, rumoured that selling Aubameyang will finance Zaha.
Ozil up for sale, but no one interested...

Ozil will fit perfectly with our CMs :)

It is patently ridiculous. But who knows what's going on there.

I wouldn't want Özil here if we were offered him on a free. He's a disgrace. Corica levels of fight.

Been a bit underwhelmed by Aubamayeng at Arsenal to be fair, doesn't seem to use him pace much anymore to threaten in behind and more content with just being a poacher. Think Lacazette looks a better player than him now, even though he always looks like he's about to throw a massive strop.

Loved Aubameyang to start with, really powerful (sorry Alan...) and a great finisher. But has faded really badly. Although the list of Arsenal players that could apply to is long....

Hard to argue with 41 goals in 65 games tbf. Not like Arsenal have been really good in that time.
