The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

I thought Holden were their own brand?

Just that Vauxhall had a deal to import them to the UK and re-badge them to sell them under their name?

My sister in law has a Holden that is definitely a Nova with a different badge. Holden do loads of models that are exclusive but they have the Astra and the Nova for a start.

So there must be some link there then, doesn't seem anywhere near as strong as that between Opel and Vauxhall though who generally produce identical cars, though they occasionally use different names, i remember being abroad before and seeing what was clearly a Nova but as it was Opel it was badged as a Corsa.

Perhaps Holden had a license to produce a few Vauxhall/Opel models and until recently Vauxhall/Opel had never decided to trade ideas the other way.

They're all owned by General Motors, Vauxhall and Opel are the same company, I believe that Holden were a brand of their own before being purchased by GM

Excellent stuff - I had mine as soon as the kids were born which was bloody tough. I came back to work to get some sleep!

Great times though.

As I work in a school, I was able to take holiday as soon as she was born (during the summer holiday) and then my Paternity in the term time.

Win.

Excellent - worked out very nicely for you then!

Definitely. Got some house hunting planned, so that'll be nice a relaxing!

Managed to successfully go on holiday, sitting on laptop in Florida thinking of you all :)

I was a metre from Jessica Ennis today and managed to not dribble nor commit an act of gross indecency. Go me.

Beat Exeter City's development side 8-1, got a full 90 minutes and played well but most importantly I can touch my toes without bending my knees now!

My son was born late October, which meant parental leave for me in June, July, and August :)
