The Road to World Cup 2026 and UEFA Nations League

My England team as it stands:

--------------------Pickford-------------------

James--------Guéhi-------Maguire-------Hall

-------------------Anderson-------------------

---------------Rice----------Bellingham-----------

Palmer-------------Kane-----------Gordon-----------

Saka is in shite form, Stones never plays, Foden has rarely had a good game for England

Maguire and Guehi is a pretty decent partnership at the back, stones usually does his trick of magically appearing in time for the tournament and being great but I think this one won’t happen for him.

He really likes Rogers so I feel like he’ll rotate him and Bellingham.

I’d have rashford on the left if he’s fit.

Saka hasn’t been great but palmer has been worse I’d say. Need one of them to come into form either way

Maguire should come back into the squad next week you'd think, but I'm not sure he's that close to starting. He'll get game time in the friendlies but I think Konsa might start alongside Guehi in the summer unless Stones is fit, and I suspect Tuchel feels loyalty to Burn, who has been 4th choice in most of the recent squads.

Rogers will surely start the first game now, especially as Bellingham looks like he might miss out again next week through injury. I wonder how long that will last if we're poor in the first game or two though.

He seems to have a soft spot for Madueke too, so I wouldn't be surprised if he got some game time on the right as Palmer and Saka are so out of form. Also think O'Reilly might hold on to left back.

Really hard to judge at this point though. You'd think next week will pretty much be the same squad he picks in the summer, he doesn't strike me as a manager who is likely to be swayed by any late season upticks in form.

O’Reilly didn’t do his chances any good with his performance against Madrid last week.

Iran not officially out of the World Cup and trying to get their games played in Mexico.

A similar result would be funny as fuck. Trump then nuking Tehran less so.
