The Race to be Relegated with Wolves, 24/25 Thread

I appreciate you are neurodiverse Mark, so it might not originally have appeared this way to you... However you have been told on numerous occasions that just laughing at people's posts, without replyling or engaging further just makes you look a cunt, yet you consciously choose to do so. Therefore the only conclusion to draw from that is you are deliberately acting like a cunt, all whilst responding in the disingenuous way you have above. Just interests me as to why it continues to be tolerated.
TBF, Jinky's post starts with the words "Gotta laugh...."
#justsayin

They're all ambiguous - they're the same form of expression. It's just that when it's positive people don't feel the need to question which part of the post someone else liked.

If the reactions are that much of an issue for people then lobby the mods to get rid of them, if it's just the ones they perceive to be negative that they don't like them campaign against those. I don't really care either way. As long as they're a feature of the site and I have the freedom to use this site then I'll use them, and all other features of the site, as I see fit. Just the same as anyone else should.
Or you could just take responsibility for your own very deliberate actions you coward.

The 😂 has its place for me and I wouldn't want it binned.
Same here given practically all but one poster are capable of using it in a positive way. The issue for me here is the deliberate rudeness of Mark, not the emoji. A lot of us have been on here for the best part of two decades and are capable of talking in a respectful way that means we keep on coming back. He routinely laughs in people's faces with no other comment. It's weird, and it's not very nice.

Slightly surprised/ confused at the reaction to the emoji, yet does no one else find this to be a bit unreasonable?
I mean, it's a protected characteristic. Should we be labelling people based on our assumption or presuppositions about them?

What responsibility? I react to posts how in a manner I deem suitable to the way I interpret those posts. People can interpret those reactions and my own posts entirely of their own accord and react to those in whatever way they seem appropriate.

It's a football message board, we're not exactly changing the world here. Responsibility FFS.

No idea why these bloody emojis were brought back in the first place tbh. What I would say is if you score a laughing emoji off Mark it means he’s laughing at you rather than with you. Sarcasm and passive aggressiveness all rolled into one little emoji.

He’s not the only one that does it though, in fact a poster who some people were scrambling to have a ban overturned for not so long ago was even more prolific with it.
You can always Ignore, I have

I say stick to your guns MARKakaJIM. The last time you inexplicably posted a laughing face to one of my comments was 30th Nov. In that I expressed the hope that we had as speedy as possible collection of poor results, even though I have to go and watch them, so that change could come in management for the greater good. I like that you found my prescience hilarious. Makes me feel good. Just a shame you don’t have the chance to post some kind of ‘eating humble pie face’, an option I’m sure you’d take if available.

"I do what I want and don't care how it affects other people". What a guy.

You'd think I was running down people's life works here not the opinions of casual football fans on a middling team. This is meant to be a hobby guys, not life or death.

It's a community. You laugh in people's faces and say nothing else. Try doing that in your in-person conversations every day and see if people like it. You've been told that people here find it antisocial and rude, and your response is "I'll do what I want and I don't care".

It's easy to ignore if it bothers you that much.

No, it isn't. That's the whole point. It's why it keeps being raised with you. If your intention isn't to be rude, most people would reflect on their own behaviour once they are called out on it, rather than blame the person calling them out.
