The R.I.P. Thread

It's a bit weird that there's been so much to say about Bardot, yet when someone posted Harry Roberts on this very same thread there wasn't so much as a murmur about what an absolute piece of shit scumbag he was.

I've still no idea why he was mentioned on this thread but there you go...

Not at all, this is completely about you.

You wanted ā€œbalanceā€ when immigrants were being humanised.

Now you’re arguing we shouldn’t mention the awful things BB said because she’s died.

Yeah both of those statements are wrong but keep on killing another thread you pompous dullard šŸ˜…

With Harry Roberts, he never did anything positive that people feel the need to defend or contextualise.
Regardless of that if I get the dredger out and pick through this thread will I see the same observations/contextualising that some have made about Bardot, when she passed, applied to others?

If we take Sean Connery, for example, will I see people calling out his views on how a woman should be treated?

Are nonagenarian women who have held racist views called out on this when they pass? But nonagenarian males that hold misogynistic views given a free pass?

I don't want to derail a thread...

I think no one mentioned Sean, because he wasn’t in and out of court in his later life getting fines for racist abuse, wasn’t writing books about muslims being savages and cannibals, wasn’t vehemently anti homosexual again writing books about it

He did say there was nothing wrong with slapping women though.

So I take it you're in the TP and Tredman camp that racism is bad but sexism fine then? šŸ˜…
