Nuff said RIP GB.

John Haynes OBE aged 80, never heard of him? Well you must have used one of his car repair manuals at some point in your life

Still have a couple of the books on the shelf purely for nostalgia purposes (the relevant cars went very many years ago)

The Haynes Motor Museum is only a 25 min drive from me & is brilliant - go once a year & then gift aid the entrance fee which gets me unlimited free entry for 12 months.

It's what my younger son learn't a lot from when he started getting interested in cars at 12 yrs old - helped to build himself a career as has been running his own successful business in the trade for the last 5 years (having started an apprenticeship at 17).

Can remember watching that save & not believing that it was possible - as Pele has said , everyone remembers that one that he didn't score rather than the over 1000 that he did.

By all accounts a truly decent, down to earth individual as well.

RIP Gordon

Karl Lagerfeld aged 85. RIP , thanks for the sunglasses, best pair I've ever had.

I always wondered the name of the bloke around the market in Portugal

Looked like he'd been stuffed and mounted since the 90s

Mark Hollis of Talk Talk (the band, not the shitehouse broadband company). What a shame. They were great.

They were great, listened to them a lot back in the day, It's My Life, Living In Another World, Life's What You Make It, Happiness Is Easy. Loved them all.

just saw about Mark Hollis. great band and very influential.

That's sad. Talk Talk's last three albums are gorgeous. And he gave up touring and recording so he could be a good dad which endears him to me.

Andre Previn at 89 (hadn't realised that he had 4 Oscars for film music scores) - a very good pianist, though will be best remembered as Andre Preview from the Morecambe & Wise programme

Didn't realise Previn was that old, the Andre Preview comment still makes me smile even though its had the arse kicked out of it

RIP Andrew Preview.

You are playing all the wrong notes

No - I am playing all the RIGHT notes, but not necessarily in the right order.

It was a great sketch.

It's been reported that Keith Flint, lead singer of Prodigy has been found dead at his home, aged 49

Gutted. Probably the best live act I've seen.
