The R.I.P. Thread

What a great drummer...R.I.P Philthy Animal Taylor

Warren Mitchell has died. He will always be remembered for his role as Alf Garnett in Till Death us do Part.

Former All Black Jonah Lomu has died at the age of 40. He had been suffering with a kidney condition. Terribly sad news.

R.I.P.

Just heard on the radio on the way into work, that is sad news :(

Very sad indeed - a special player.

The sight of him running over (& I do mean over rather than round) Mike Catt to score in the World Cup will not be forgotten

Peter Dimmock dies aged 94 - many of the younger participants on here won't know who he is, but a pioneer of televised sports in the UK

First presenter of Grandstand & SPOTY among other things.

R.I.P Peter Dimmock. A pioneer in the early days of sport on television.

just back from a hol and saw this sad news. wasn't a massive STP fan but got into them around plush for a while. obv he's had some issues but still too young.

Jimmy Hill, 87, Alzheimer's

RIP Jimmy

Today's footballers have a lot to thank Jimmy Hill for. He was one of the pioneers behind the abolition of the minimum wage. Not to mention he advocated all seater stadiums and three points for a win long before they were implicated.

R.I.P. Jimmy Hill.
