The R.I.P. Thread

Connery was in a load of great non-Bond films!

The Man Who Would Be King, A Bridge too Far, Untouchables, Name of the Rose. Mind, he was in more than his fair share of utter shite!

A bright too far, is that what all the clubs Enokbohare goes to end up saying?

The Rock is probably my favourite Connery performance, but he's great in so many things. It's a shame his last film was that extraordinary gentlemen crap.

Excellent use of Connery's flawless use of other accents too...

After watching The Hunt for Red October, I thought for years that Connery was Russian.

Well as Jack Ryan points out, Ramius is Lithuanian, so it must be how they speak in Vilnius.

Hunt For Red October is my fave Connery film.

One ping only...

You'd think karma would balance things out by offing some mass murderers or terrorists.

Nah. I want him dragged out of the White House like Assange was dragged out of the Ecuadorian (?) embassy, tried, jailed and then we can hear of his demise while still wearing orange overalls.

Big UKIP fan.

Talented, but wasn't quite my bag.

Was he? didn't know that.
Can see how he's not everyones cup of tea. I was a big fan of who's line is it anyway mind.

I remember him mainly from Stella Street which was somehow a bad Mick Jagger impression made into a series. (And Mick Jagger is really easy to impersonate)

Obviously he had ability, can't forgive that political stuff though.
