I love watching them both. Though the one thing I don't get is the slander towards Ronaldo instead of Messi regarding the perception that he's greedy or not a team player.
Arguably, on paper Argentina is much better than Portugal, but who is it that seems to perform much better on the international stage, and who is it that ragequit and resigned from international football when their country lost a final?

Seeing as Messi has generally got further in international tournaments than Ronaldo I would argue they are on fairly similar ground there (as Portugal obviously won euros, albeit without Ronaldo on the pitch in the end!)

I've no idea why people continually feel the need to slander one to praise the other. Enjoy them both, they're players you'll only see once in your lifetime.

Worth savouring as in years to come we will tell our kids (or grandkids, etc) about them like people have talked about Pele, Maradona, Cruyff ... we won't have two like this playing at the same time for a good while I reckon!

Well Spain is a bit of a harder challenge i believe. And we are just a poor 8th candidate in the odds to win the whole thing...

I think Iceland's style just doesn't allow Argentina to play the way they like and express themselves. Good result for Iceland which gives them a very good chance to clear the group if they can get something from Croatia (I expect them to beat Nigeria).

Messi had a poor game, but he has two more games to impose himself. And then the knockouts because I will be amazed if Argentina don't qualify.

Got what I expected from Iceland - solid & organised, but did it well

Not phenomenally impressed with Argentina - insufficient movement to counter Iceland's formation/shape. Can't see them winning the tournament as if their defence is put under any sustained pressure (rather than the isolated moments by Iceland) then they will get beaten
