IMHO, there is. Throughout our history, Spain tried to conquer us multiple times, failing everytime except on a sucession issue after our King was a moron and got himself killed in Africa.

Nowadays, our rivalry is limited to these games. We hate their guts.

We don't like them. From all Spanish regions we were the ones that actually got the independency. So they never really got over that. Spanish women love us though!

Maradona is probably the most talented there ever was but for what he has achieved you have to have Ronaldo up there. His stats are phenomenal. Same with Messi.
