We did control the game well, albeit against a disappointingly poor Sweden side who looked about as threatening as Timmy Mallet's foam hammer.

Well that was a dominant performance. Piss poor for the first 20 minutes and Sterling's decision making wasn't good enough throughout but a solid if unspectacular performance at the right time.

And we look like we're getting better as the tournament goes on which is great. Thought Henderson was very good as was Lingard and Maguire.

A World Cup semi-final! Only one of those in my lifetime so far and a great chance to get to the final to boot. It really is time to believe.

Can’t stop smiling got a litre of vodka in the house which me and the mrs are working our way through. Apart from the first 20 minutes I thought we played with complete control.
Maguire and Trippier have been a revelation so far, apart from his finishing I thought Sterling had good game running into channels and pulling defenders out of position and still trying to get in scoring positions.
Big shout out to Southgate I was his biggest doubter when he got the job and his proved me wrong ten fold. Picks players on form and in the right position has us playing a system that looks fluent and everyone knows their job.
Do I think we’ll win this no but my expectations have been exceeded. This beats 90 for me we only scored 8 goals all tournament we’ve bagged 11 already.
