Not really, he's playing up front on his own but is moving into either channel when De Bruyne is carrying the ball forwards so Lukaku drags a centre half out of position.

Good tactics IMO.

They were good that season tbf. The thought was that he'd taken Moyes' base and moved it on. Then it all came tumbling down once Distin finally fell to bits and Baines/Barry started to seriously creak.

Watching something different from me, then, Lukaku is definitely staying wide when they're out of possession.

Distin was fucking massive that season IIRC. Then yeah, seemed like the entire defence just took sick all at once.

Still, though, Lukaku as a winger is a bridge too far. Doesn't have the touch for it.
