Can't remember the last time I bought anything from WH Smith. Probably about 1995 before I learned the concept of value for money.

They'd have died over a decade ago as a retailer if they didn't have a monopoly on train stations and airports.

Has to be the most depressing store locally - if there was anywhere else to get what they sell they would have gone years ago (there actually is, but not always in one place)

There isn't as all High Streets are dying (apart from Estate Agents/coffee & charity shops)

There was something about them having to change their prices a few years back but guess that didn't work.

Just bought 50 packs for £31 from Amazon. Going to my bro-in-laws at the weekend and he, and his three kids, will have endless amounts of spares and swaps so I'll see what shape I'm in after all that!
