Argies have totally lost their heads. Their coach needs binning off - anyone who has one of the best players in the world in their squad and then completely and utterly fails to utilise him in any meaningful way needs sacking ASAP. Croatia have done well this evening but I still think England would beat them.

I blame their manager Sampaoli. In the days before the tournament started he basically said the team was built around Messi and they would do everything possible to make him happy.
Nice way to build team spirit there genius.

They're not blessed with talent all over the pitch, but they shouldn't have been anywhere close to as bad as they were tonight.

Their defensive woes were continually shown up because the midfield had no idea how to keep the ball and then weren't interested when they lost it in poor areas of the pitch.

There are midfielders in that squad that can look after the ball in Banega and Lo Celso. The number of times Mascherano, Perez and Mesa gave up the ball with seemingly easy passes was incredible. No matter how good your forward players are, they can't do anything if you can't provide them with the ball.

Had a half day to watch the 2 earlier games. So, everyone bet on 2 0-0's...
